This past Sunday, April 12, 2020, was a really special dinner. During the Corona Virus, helping the homeless is so important, since life for those without stable living has changed and the homeless continue to be one of the most needy in our society. Our Sunday dinners have not stopped during this difficult time. It is certainly different, but making sure that people have a warm meal is imperative to our group. We didn't get to sit down together at tables and have pleasant chats around the dinner table, but we did make to-go meals with a little Happy Easter surprise. We also were able to exchange encouraging words and share a smile as our packets were handed out to our gracious visitors. Each one of our guests received a healthy meal and a special Easter bag with candy and a roll of toilet paper (which is a prized win in today's COVID-19 day). Below, is one of our plates that were made with loving care and were provided to families and individuals. Everybody received a healthy serving of ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll and butter, and one cookie for dessert.
